How to apply

    Make sure you have the DTC

    The Canada Disability Benefit requires an approved Disability Tax Credit. If you do not have it yet, apply for the DTC first.

    File your tax return

    You and your spouse or partner (if you have one) must file a tax return each year so your income can be checked.

    Apply for the CDB

    Apply online, by phone, by mail, or in person through Service Canada.
